Our Environmental Journey
We cut waste, save water, and offer eco garments. Sustainability is woven into all we do at Banana Moon.
Established in 1993, we're a family company that has grown from a lifestyle craft business to an agile, responsible and visionary personalised clothing supplier operating from a 10,000 sq. ft purpose-built facility in Yorkshire, UK.
We are so pleased to announce that Banana Moon has been B-Corp certified! This certification acknowledges our continued commitment to people and our planet and we feel extremely happy and proud to achieve B-Corp certification after years of hard work.
Banana Moon is a certified B Corporation, and we are always evolving our processes to ensure they meet the highest standards in sustainability, and safety. We constantly invest in new machinery, in our team, and in finding the newest and best products to ensure we can be proud that the work we do, does not harm the environment or our people.
Our Direct To Garment (DTG) printing is a water-based ink print effect usually covering large areas of a garment or to print complex multi-colour artworks supplied by our customers. It uses virtually no water, eco-friendly inks and creates no waste.
Embroidery is an incredible stitching process which replicates a design onto clothing. We use recycled polyester threads and biodegradable consumables and have some of the most skilled digitisers and embroiderers in the UK, working on the best machines in the industry.
Because screen print has been around a long time, this process is not always kind on the environment. Check out how Banana Moon’s screen printing is constantly improving its sustainability credentials to use no harmful substances and drastically reduce its water consumption.
Direct to Film (DTF) printing is the new kid on the block when it comes garment printing. Using water-based inks to create vibrant prints on a wide range of garments & fabrics, DTF has a much softer feel, with far less waste than traditional transfers.
