You can email or post a copy of your artwork to us. Email is the preferred method to [email protected]. If you are ordering online, there is an artwork upload area once you have completed your order. Our preferred formats are vector files and high resolution JPG, PDF, TIFF, CDR, Illustrator EPS, PSD with all text converted to outlines. 300dpi is ideal for non vector files, but please try to keep e-mailed or uploaded artwork files under 2mb.
Generally, the higher the resolution or dpi of the artwork or photo the easier it is to work from, especially artwork with fine details.
Please try to keep your embroidery designs as simple as possible. They are usually the most effective designs. Intricate detail and lettering can be difficult to replicate exactly. Also, the best quality artwork helps us to replicate your designs to the highest quality possible.

No. We always refuse to infringe copyrighted and trademarked works. It is illegal and can result in heavy legal fees. Be original or please ask us for ideas.
Low Resolution art: Is usually fine for embroidery designs (72 dpi) unless the design is very detailed or elaborate. A business card will do for some logos but detailed logos will need to be better resolution.
High Resolution art: High Resolution art may be required for printing with a minimum of 300 dpi to avoid possible clean up charges Generally, the higher the resolution or dpi of the artwork or photo the easier it is to work from, especially artwork with fine details.
Vector graphics are composed in programs like Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Macromedia Freehand or Inkscape.

Yes, we always send proofs for your approval before production unless your order is a repeat design or simple name/text only order (by not proofing these orders we are able to speed them up considerably).
Our proofing is done via our online account portal which you will have access to. Here you can approve or reject your proof for any small tweaks to be made by our creative team.
Embroidery is a very traditional and classy way to personalise your garments. It is the best way of creating a long-lasting, top quality and multi-colour effect. Our embroidery is produced in-house on computerised, ultra-modern, multi-head machines run by experienced, highly skilled operators. Embroidery is ideal for a breast pocket logo (generally between 3" and 4"), for the back of the neck or for a sleeve. Our in-house embroidery digitisers are second to none and find a level of detail in your designs that most cannot.

Yes. There is no set up charge on 20 garments and above with the same embroidered design. Colours, sizes and types of garment can be mixed. On small orders of 1-19 garments, there is a set up charge of £25.00 + VAT. Or to avoid setups on orders between 1-19 you can choose one from the range of our stock logos available to view on the website or simply choose the 'just text' option (we don't charge to set up simple text)
Yes, we provide a free proof once the order is confirmed and paid for. Our proofs are done until you are 100% happy with them before going to production. The proofs are provided as PDF files in a "true view" format, so appears as it would do when embroidered.
No, in our online pricing we give a low basic plain garment price, to which different personalisation methods can be introduced as 'add ons'. Our standard embroidered logo price of £3.00 is for one "average" size breast pocket logo up to 10,000 stitches. Many of our competitors only class an 'average' logo as up to 5000 stitches. For very complex designs in excess of this, there may be a small surcharge per garment.
If embroidered individual names, nicknames or initials are required, at approximately 8mm to 10mm in height, in addition to your logo design, the charges are as follows: £2.50 + VAT per garment for up to 20 characters. Please remember our prices include your main embroidered logo and your company or organisation name.

Yes, this can be done in our online basket by selecting to use one of our pre-digitised stock embroidered logos and adding your lettering to go around it. Alternatively, you can order 10 + embroidered with your own logo (setup fee applies below 20 garments).
All of our printing is fully in-house. We provide every current method of print possible. These include screen printing and Thermal transfer digital printing and the use of these printing methods is based on the type of order you have placed. For small order, individual printed names or numbers we would use digital transfer printing. For large quantity printing orders or those which require the same large or small print on each garment we would use the ink based screen printing. It is charged by the number of colours in the design. Normally, we print in one colour, which is the most economical. For complex multi-colour logos on small quantities we would use our multi-colour thermal transfer digital printing.
Screen Printing is used primarily for bulk orders of the same design, screen printing exposes an image onto a mesh screen. As the ink is pulled over the screen the fine holes in the mesh created by the exposure, allow ink to go through onto the garment to form the desired print. This is then passed through a dryer to cure (set) the print onto the garment forever. This method is ideal for simple one colour designs but can also be used for 2 colour, 3 colour and multi colours in substantial quantities. Quantities are required due to the considerable setup time of producing the screens and inks. Limitations to this method are the costs of printing multi colour designs and the ease of replicating tonal and special effects, which can be quite complex. We have both a manual carousel and semi-automatic unit in our print department, meaning we can continue to drive turnaround times down and provide very competitive prices. This is one of the most popular print methods. It uses vinyls of all different types of colours, special effects and even textures to create individual or bulk prints. These include, flock, textured feel prints, metallics, fluorescents and holographic prints. The most common form of this printing is for individual names. However as the effects continue to improve many people are opting for this method for their printed logos/text. It works by an automated cutter, cutting round the vinyl to the desired shape or text as set by a computer. Once cut, the excess unwanted vinyl must be removed by hand using a 'weeder'. Each individual print is then positioned on the garment under the heat press and heat sealed to the garment. Banana Moon use this method for small quantity orders and for all personalised name requirements. You can do this by selecting the 'names in number' option in the online personalisation process. This option is present for the back of the garment. For the artwork, the only thing we need is a word document with a list of everyone's names typed out and we will sort out the design and layout for you. This is then proofed for your approval.
As a popular alternative to embroidered names, we can do digital printed names in numerous colours on the back of garments. Pricing for this is as follows: £2.95 + VAT per garment (Quantity discounts do apply). Numbers are charged at £2.50 + vat (up to 2 digits). No, as with embroidery, printing options are added on to our base price. Amounts of colours and also quantity of garments to be printed will affect price. Is there a set-up charge or minimum order? There is no minimum order for printed garments and currently no setup charge applied.
Yes it is possible to order 1 garment with a print on. This can either be ordered in the online basket or through contacting us for details. For orders under 20 garments with a printed logo on there is a £25 + vat setup charge. However this doesn't apply to printed text, stocks logos or repeat designs.
Yes, always. We ask for a minimum of 10 garments for repeat print orders if possible. Depending on type of logo or text we can sometime produce less than 10 of a repeat but you would need to email us to double check first: [email protected]
Yes, you can. You can mix polo’s, t-shirts, sweatshirts and any other garments in our range. You can also have as many different colours and sizes as you wish at no extra cost.
We are an independent company, and can therefore choose our favourite brands for quality and value. Our range consists of Fruit of the Loom, Jerzees, Slazenger, Gildan, Ashworth, Glenmuir, Kustom Kit, Dickies, Henbury and much more. To produce successful embroidery, we need good quality garments. We never compromise on garment quality.

Garments - We offer a standard discount on our garments of: 25p per garment on orders of 50 items or more, 50p off per garment on orders of 100 items or more 75p off per garment on orders of 250 items or more £1.00 per garment on orders over 500 items or more £1.25 per garment on orders over 1000 items or more.All discounted prices will be shown when you view a product page.
Personalisations - Actual personalisations like printing and printed names do benefit from their own quantity discount breaks too - the more you order the cheaper the price per application is . Quantity discounts are applied automatically online, or please view price list or contact us for a quote.
*PLEASE NOTE - Each order is assumed that it will be made up of the same design. For example if you choose 100 items with an 'embroidered logo', we cannot do one logo on 50 and a different logo on the other 50. You will be getting our 100 rate in your basket as we assume we are doing the same logo on all 100 therefore can provide a cheaper price. In this example a customer wanting two different embroidered logos should place two separate orders of 50.
To find a specific brand, use the "Search" option along the top toolbar of our homepage. This will bring up a list of all the brands we offer shown by their brand logos. To find the style you are looking for, just type the product code into the search box. We now also have a refine by search in each garment category so you can specify you want to see only garments which come in a certain size or colour.
Colours are shown by colour swatches on the right hand side of the product page. For a number of brands, we also have imagery of each colourway, although regrettably this is not always possible. By clicking on different colour swatches the large image of the garment should appear if available.. Please be aware that we have best matched the pantone colours of the garments into the closest possible hex reference for display on the web but some colours may vary slightly from the colour swatch shown.
Our repeat online ordering system is now available. When selecting your personalisation type, you need to choose the option 'repeat customer' where you can type in your existing design number to waive setup fees on repeat designs. Alternatively you can email your requirements through to [email protected]
The current rate of VAT is 20%. The prices shown do not include VAT, but it is itemised at the checkout. Children's clothing, up to age 13, is not liable for VAT. BFPO addresses and addresses outside the UK are zero rated (VAT exemption certificates may be required.)
Payment is required with the order please - by cheque, debit or credit cards, or BACS transfer. Please note that credit card payments are subject to a 2.5% admin charge. If ordering for a group of people, it is a good idea for the organiser to obtain payment from individuals at the time of ordering.
Any error that is our fault will be corrected. In our many years of trading we have never been involved in a legal dispute or had to give a complete refund because the quality was sub-standard. We must re iterate that customer errors - i.e. incorrect spellings, incorrect names, wrong sizes ordered - will not be replaced free of charge.
If you require a sample garment to check colour, fit or quality, we are happy to provide plain items, and shipping will be waived for these items. We do ask that you can provide us with credit or debit card details to take payment for the value of the samples, which we will then refund in full once the samples are returned within the 15 days in a resaleable condition. If you wish to keep the samples, you can just inform us within the 15 days and the payment will stand. Please use our online enquiry form and tell us what garment style you require, your preferred colour and size. We will contact you to confirm your request and arrange payment on the garments.
Sample garments returned within 30 days will be credited back to your account - whether or not you place an order with Banana Moon. Return postage will be payable on these items.
Production time is around 5 to 7 working days from payment and artwork approval. Please allow a little longer during our peak times - Christmas, Easter and post summer - or if your garments have several production processes, i.e. embroidery, print and names. If you need the garments for a particular date, please let us know and we will always try to meet your deadline. Certain brands such as Stanno, North Face, Berghaus, Lyle & Scott & Blue Max Banner etc do take a little longer due to their supply coming from overseas. We are continually investing in new capacity and technology, so turnaround times continue to be driven down year on year.
We have a Fastrack service, which is a 3 working day turnaround for urgent orders. Please choose only items marked with the Fastrack icon. In the checkout you can then select the Fast Track option, which will add a percentage surcharge onto your order.
Delivery to mainland addresses within the UK is charged at £5.50 for orders of 1-3 garments. Then £6.50 for orders up to the value of £249.99 (ex.vat). Our UK delivery is free of charge on orders of value £250 (ex vat) or higher. These prices do not apply to areas such as: The Scottish Highlands, The Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man are based on weighted delivery. Our parcels are sent to mainland UK addresses via next day delivery using a tracked service requiring signature. Our service also provides information of a designated hour window for delivery, which is emailed to the customer direct from DPD on the morning of delivery.
All overseas deliveries are based on weight of parcel(s) and this is calculated at the online checkout, or quoted on order confirmation invoices.
Discount codes are used from time to time to mark special marketing events. Discounts are valid only from dates shown. The offers can not be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. Only one discount code per transaction can be redeemed online. Discounts cannot be exchanged for a cash equivalent and have a redemption value of £0.0001. Discount codes are only offered at the discretion of the Banana Moon staff and may not be requested.
