31 squadron will deploy to Afghanistan this month, and they have come up with an idea to raise £31,000 for 3 different charities. Throughout their deployment, members of the team will clock up a target of 31,000 miles in the gym by cycling, running and rowing to achieve their target by the end of their time there. This will of course be completed in and around their everyday duties so it is certainly quite a challenging task at hand. To put the distance into perspective, this is more miles than travelling fully around the world.
The team are jointly raising money for Help for Heroes, Tickets for Troops and Epilepsy Action, with a target of raising £1 for each mile covered. We have donated to the cause, and if you would like to find out more and of course donate, then click here to go to the Just Giving page
Banana Moon have been asked to supply some personalised t-shirts for the event, so we will keep you informed of how the team get on and hopefully have some good photos to put up too.
Best of luck to everyone involved!
