Banana Moon recently provided personalised t-shirts for a charity challenge involving a team of 6 Army and Navy personnel. The peaks involved were scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. Due to the horrendous winter we have recently endured, the team were advised to cancel but due to work commitments there was no way of re-scheduling and so had to go ahead.
In freezing conditions the remaining team of 4 managed to complete the challenge in 27 hours total. The team aimed to raise £1000 in total but the amount still growing is nearly up to £2000 due to the kind donations of friends, family and sponsors. The team consisting of Capt James Mackenzie, Chris Smith, Jack Boorman, Richard Brown and Sgt Paul Hussain showed great determination despite adverse conditions and didn’t let the two chosen charities down.
The guys had printed and embroidered SS28M Fruit of the Loom Valueweight T-shirts, which are a particular favourite of Forces T-shirts and is our top selling T-shirt. The guys are hoping to eventually complete the North Pole Challenge so we’ll keep you up to date if they do.
