Banana Moon Workshop Ethical Policies
Banana Moon Workshop is committed to ensuring that our suppliers maintain an appropriate standard of responsible production. We source our stock from brands that produce clothing ethically, with environmentally conscious practices as well as ensuring that workers are treated fairly and decently.
Below are some supplier and brand specific ethical policy statements.
| AWDis |
Our hoodies are only produced in factories which conform to WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production) and are certified to their strict regulations. WRAP certification of our factories ensures that all garments come from lawful, ethical and humane manufacturing sources. This applies right back through the supply chain to include environmentally sound cotton production. |
| Ashworth and Callaway |
Our employees are provided with an environment where they will be respected; we are committed to providing an environment that supports honest, integrity, respect, trust and responsibility. |
| Gildan |
|
Gildan is dedicated to being a socially responsible employer in all of our geographical hubs. We are committed to investing in modern, state-of-the-art facilities and to adhering to progressive hiring and employment practices. As a Participating Company of the Fair Labor Association (FLA) we were the first manufacturer in the wholesale activewear market to join this organisation. We are currently expanding our WRAP certification to all sewing facilities.
Gildan provides its workers with the opportunity to upgrade their skills and education. Classes are offered to employees that want to earn their diplomas and the company also provides extensive on-the-job training. |
| Glenmuir |
Glenmuir only deals with responsible suppliers that do not employ underaged persons and provide all of their employees with working conditions which are safe and healthy. |
| Henbury, Finden&Hales, Larkwood, Skinni Fit, Skinni Fit Men, Skinni Minni, Towel City |
|
We fully recognise the importance of the people and the countries where we manufacture, and ask that any manufacturer or supplier associated with us share our commitment to fair and safe working practices.
All our manufacturing locations are inspected every day by our local representatives to ensure that working conditions are to the very highest standard, and that working hours do not exceed local government criteria, with no child or forced labour.
